Home Run Pool 2026 Rules
Submit your entries for the 2026 home run pool by the March 25th deadline, just before the MLB Opening Day games start. You can submit as many entries as you wish, each costing $10. Venmo is preferred: @MattPP. All entries should be submitted via the Google Form linked at the top of this site. You can resubmit your entry until the deadline. After this date, you are allowed up to 2 substitutions throughout the season: one before the All Star Break and one after. Monthly prizes will be awarded, along with prizes at the half-year mark (All Star Break) and at year-end. The prize amounts will be determined once all entries are received. Tiebreakers for any potential prizes will be based on the total home runs hit by your original 3 write-in players. Please note that if you substitute a write-in player, your tiebreaker score will not include the replacement player. HR standings will be updated weekly.
Substitution Rules
Substitutions for the 2026 home run pool will be available starting April 1st. You can use a total of two (2) substitutions throughout the MLB season – one before the All-Star Break and one after. Substitutions will be submitted via a Google Form. You will retain the home runs already hit by your original player but will begin to accumulate homers hit by your new pick from the day I receive your Google Form submission. For example, if you replace a player with 10 HR on July 15, you keep those, plus earn any homers the new player hits after July 15. When making sub picks, ensure they come from a lower group than the one you’re replacing. If you substitute a Group A player, you may replace them with any player from Group B, Group C, or any other player not listed in a pool group (i.e., write-in eligible players). For a Group B player, you can pick from Group C or any unlisted player (i.e., write-in eligible players). Lastly, if you replace a Group C player, you may substitute with any player not listed in a pool group (i.e., write-in eligible players). Be sure to monitor your HR standings to keep track of your progress throughout the MLB season.
